I mean, with today's technology, why would you pay a photographer to do what you do everyday with your amazing smart phone? The cost alone of your phone (that is only good for a a couple years) can do the job right? Wrong! Oh geez! So totally wrong! A photo shoot is an investment, but it's an investment that lasts a lifetime. Don't get me wrong, most of my everyday family pictures are done with my trusty iPhone! But when it comes to those official family pictures (the ones that will be hung on our walls), there's nothing like booking a family session with my favorite photographer friends!
There are so many reasons why hiring a professional family photographer is totally worth that investment.

Hey mom, yeah you! Aren't you tired of taking selfies with your kids just to get in your family pictures (and having to take it 5 times to get that perfect angle to avoid the double chin or blinking eyes)? Yeah me too! There is a large variety of photographers out there, ready to capture those family moments. But just be ready with questions and make sure their work is what you love! When you find that look that you just can't do without, know that that photographer has worked long long long hours perfecting themselves and taking the time to get your family portraits just right! You don't just pick up a camera and know what you are doing. It takes time and a lot of training! You are paying for quality, knowing that you will be able to print that family picture through a pro lab and get the best possible quality for that picture to last (unlike that phone you've been using)!

Most photographers help you with all of the preparation and planning (what to wear, location...) that goes into a family photo session and helps relieve a lot of the stress that comes with the whole picture taking process. The fact that you are not the one telling your child to smile, they usually listen better, and if they don't, oh well, makes for some fun pictures anyway!
